Ribera del Duero, the flagship of the province. This region is composed of rolling hills and is irrigated by the Duero River. Some of the most prestigious wineries in Valladolid are located on the banks of the Duero. The famous wines of the Ribera del Duero, whether they are rosé or Young red wines or aged reds, are the true symbol of this region. Without a doubt, Ribera del Duero has become the best red Winemaking region in Spain.

Ribera del Duero was awarded its Designation of origin certification and its statutes were passed in July, 1982.
